Spectrum NIFT Delhi ’26

Every year, NIFT Delhi comes alive with Spectrum, its annual cultural fest bringing together students, colleges, competitions, performances and a healthy amount of crazy chaos.

But college fests have changed. The fest now starts way before you step onto campus through reels, stories, registrations, posters and websites. With colleges increasingly building their own digital spaces for their fests, we thought how could a design college possibly stay behind?

Spectrum needed a digital home of its own, one that could bring everything together while still feeling as energetic, playful and expressive as the fest itself.

And that became the starting point for the website.

Fashion Illustration · Conceptual Fashion Collection

It started with two words: “Agar Magar.”

The brief was to take “Agar Magar” as the starting point and translate it into a Spring/Summer womenswear collection. The challenge was to move beyond a literal interpretation and explore what the idea could mean through form, silhouette, texture, material and movement turning a simple phrase into a complete fashion language.

That led me to the crocodile’s features ancient, adaptable and quietly powerful.

The Afterbattle reimagines these qualities through soft-structured silhouettes, transparency, drape and adaptable forms exploring what armour could look like when strength doesn't have to be hard.

RESEARCH BOOKLET

Before designing the collection, we had to understand how the crocodile already exists within fashion. The research looked at existing crocodile-inspired collections, accessories, materials, textures and silhouettes in the market – from luxury fashion to more commercial interpretations.

The aim was to identify what had already been explored, what visual codes had become familiar, and where there was room to take the crocodile somewhere less literal.

A logo doesn't always have to sit still.

The brief was to create a short logo animation for a new upcoming studio, using an existing logo and brand colour palette as the starting point.

The challenge was to turn a static identity into something that could move, have a personality and leave an impression without losing the character of the original brand. From there, the project became an exploration of story, character and movement, eventually coming together as the final logo animation.

THE STARTING POINT

The animation had to feel like an extension of the existing identity, rather than a completely new visual language.

FINDING THE STORY

With the visual boundaries set, I explored a few ways to give the static identity a little movement and personality.

CHARACTER EXPLORATION

With the storyboard locked, the next challenge was finding a character that could carry the story. I explored different versions, playing with form, proportions and personality while keeping the existing brand language in mind. One direction was eventually selected and refined for the animation.

FINDING THE MOVEMENT

Once the character was finalised, I explored the poses and expressions needed to bring the storyboard to life.

BRINGING IT TO LIFE

With the character and poses locked, I started building the individual movements that would eventually come together into the final animation.

Once the individual movements were working, they were brought together in After Effects, building the final sequence through layered animation, timing and transitions.

And just like that, the logo got a little more life to it.

Dodoism × Dadaism

What happens when two very different ways of thinking meet in the middle?

The brief was to create a research-based publication exploring Dodoism and Dadaism, two seemingly unrelated worlds brought together through one visual narrative.
The publication had to work as two sides of the same book, with each side developing its own identity, character and visual language, before eventually meeting somewhere in the middle.

TWO SIDES, TWO WORLDS

One side believes in holding on. The other believes in destroying everything. Both are taken to their extremes, each through its own character, visual language and narrative before eventually meeting in the middle.

DODOISM

Dodoism is built around resistance to change, holding on to familiar ideas, traditions and methods even when the world around them has moved on. The Dodo becomes its perfect mascot: perfectly adapted to the world it knew, and therefore with little reason to change. Until that world changed anyway.

DADAISM

If Dodoism holds on to everything, Dadaism tears everything apart. Born in the aftermath of World War I, Dada rejected the logic, reason and conventions that were supposedly meant to make the world better. Instead, it embraced chaos, randomness, absurdity, nonsense, irrationality and anti-art.

What happens when the force that refuses to change meets the
force that wants to destroy everything?

Two concepts. Two personalities. Two completely different visual worlds. I translated the character of each concept into its own colour, typography, illustration style and graphic language making sure the two sides felt distinct before eventually coming together.

Once the two visual languages were established, they came together across the publication.
Each spread was designed to carry its own piece of the narrative using typography, illustration, composition and visual interruptions to reflect the personality of Dodoism and Dadaism.

Two sides of the publication.
Two completely different visual languages.
And finally, they meet in the middle.

And somehow, chaos met extinction.

The brief was to create a 12-month fashion calendar for a chosen brand, building a consistent visual story through styling, photography and layout. So we chose Adobe because if you're going to make a calendar for creatives, you might as well address the problems we all know a little too well.

CREATIVE ERRORS 2026

Dear Adobe,
we love you... but you've made us cry at least 47 times.

So we made a calendar about it.
Creative Errors 2026 turns everyday software frustrations into surreal fashion moments. Missing links become ghosting. A lagging brush becomes a race. A 99% export becomes a very literal dead end.
Each month takes a familiar creative problem and asks:
What if we turned it into a fashion editorial?

VISUAL LANGUAGE

The visual language brings together fashion photography, bold typography, Adobe colours and playful graphic elements.
Each month gets its own colour and visual scenario, while the overall system keeps the calendar feeling like one campaign.

Each month takes one painfully familiar Adobe problem and turns it into its own visual story. The format stays consistent, while the problem, software, colour and fashion scene change from month to month.

I’m currently studying Fashion Communication at NIFT Delhi (23–27), with a particular interest in visual and motion design. I’m particularly interested in visual systems, typography and the details that give an idea its character.

Hi, hello

I’ve worked across branding, digital, editorial and motion through college projects and professional experience. Over the last two summers, I’ve interned at Ogilvy & Mather and Ferns N Petals, working across brands, campaigns and creative briefs.

Beyond coursework, I’ve been actively involved in college, from being the Creative Head of NIFT’s Film & Photography Club to working on various college events. I’ve also participated in design competitions, including winning first prize at NSUT.

Currently obsessed with: finding new cafés, ranking fries like it’s a serious job, and catching up on Marvel before Doomsday comes out.
